SUBSTRUCTURE ANALYSIS – RE JOB 2188

Deformation in upper flange of skidding rail under substructure was discovered. The buckled flange was analysed and strengthening solution applied. The in service deformation was traced back to original design for this rig type.

BOP FRAME ANALYSIS – RE JOB 2112

Upper frame of BOP was deformed under load from choke and kill side. The analysis was implemented to investigate the reason for this deformation and then a follow up with strengthening solution as well as by passing load away from the choke & kill line receptacle.

TRIDENT 9 – HULL ANALYSIS – RE JOB 2103

Scope of work included global analysis of rig’s wastage in accordance to ABS requirements. Model was loaded with specific for location weight, environmental load (waves, wind) as well as dynamical loads (SNAME). Presented results have shown critical areas for crop and renewal.

TRIDENT 14 – HELIDECK ANALYSIS – RE JOB 1987

Client request for moving helideck structure from STBD to FWD side was evaluated. It required to design and analyse series for supporting ‘horns’ as well as analysis of FWD structure of rig.
